On 1st July 2022, four members of LDM participated in the annual JLL Property Industry Triathlon held at Dorney Lake near Windsor. Now in its fifteenth year, the event has raised over £2 million to date, with £179,000 being raised this year alone for new charity partner WWF.
Charlie Kemble-Davies competed in the individual triathlon, consisting of a 750 metre swim, a 20 kilometre cycle and a 5 kilometre run. Charlie came home in a very respectable 1 hour and 34 minutes, finishing in 506th position out of 780 finishers.
Geoff Seeff, Eric Ong-Seng and Eduardo Sanz Solana took part in the triathlon relay event, with Geoff taking on the 750m swim, Eric completing the 20km cycling element and Eduardo undertaking the 5km run. The intrepid trio finished in 1 hour and 42 minutes, achieving 371st position out of 431 teams and despite Geoff seemingly getting lost during the swim (the lake's vegetation makes the water very cloudy apparently) and claiming he must have swum twice as far as everyone else!
In addition to the brilliant charitable and fund-raising element of the day, the team all agreed that the event was highly enjoyable and a great opportunity to meet up with clients and friends from the industry.
Well done to all the athletes that took part but a special mention to our very own, McBains triathlon heroes - Charlie, Geoff, Eric and Eduardo.
