The South East Consortium (SEC) has awarded leading property and construction consultancy McBains a place on Lot 3 (Zero Carbon Consultancy) of its Asset and Development Consultancy Framework.
SEC is a consortium of over 50 housing associations and local authorities, managing close to 500,000 properties across the South East of England. Set up in 2005, the central purchasing body provides procurement services to public bodies and contracting authorities. Its frameworks are free to access by both members and non-members, who can choose to appoint consultants via direct award or mini competition.
The Asset & Development Consultancy Framework aims to provide customers with a range of consultancy services to assist with delivering projects, designing and delivering planned programmes of work and to provide professional expertise as required.
Lot 3 (Zero Carbon Consultancy) provides framework users with a structured approach to sourcing and engaging decarbonisation specialists to assist with both development and refurbishment programmes. Services include NZC consultancy, BREEAM assessments and Passive House assessments.
Anthony Coumidis, Commercial Director at McBains commented on the appointment: “Being selected for SEC’s Asset and Development Consultancy Framework is testament to our commitment to excellence, sustainability and innovation. We’re excited to have this opportunity to collaborate with public sector organisations and look forward to delivering projects that make a positive and lasting impact”.
