As a Director within the firm’s specialist development monitoring team, Ian is responsible for providing due diligence and technical advisory services on large and often complex projects.

One of the most highly recognised individuals in his field, Ian’s quality of service, knowledge and expertise is valued throughout our banking and funding sector client base.

An elected member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building, Ian has previously worked for UK construction companies as a quantity surveyor and commercial manager, as well as in private practice consultancy undertaking employer's agent, contract administration and cost management roles, before joining McBains in 2011.

Outside of work, Ian loves to spend time with his family, to travel and enjoying the countryside but finds himself getting most passionate about the highs and (mostly) lows of Newcastle United Football Club!!!
