Isabelle Laliberté

Isabelle is a Director within our Thames Valley office and responsible for leading large, multidisciplinary teams in the management of complex, national frameworks for major UK Government Departments.

Originally from Montreal, Canada, she spent her early career as an international commodities trader working with clients across Asia and the Americas. She retrained as an architect at the University of Greenwich, following a loft renovation project she undertook before leaving Montreal. Isabelle then spent several years designing offices, co-working spaces, boutique cinemas, and high-end residential schemes across the UK, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Denmark.

Isabelle joined McBains as a Senior Project Manager during the COVID pandemic in 2020, which meant she didn’t meet some of her colleagues in person for almost two years! Her project management skills, honed during her years in international trading, combined with her design expertise, have proved a powerful mix — helping Isabelle rise quickly through the ranks to Director in 2025.

Outside work, you’ll likely find Isabelle sketching on location, or out on the water rowing — a passion that she discovered on moving to the UK and which ultimately led her to McBains, having met our Finance Director, Mary Neveling, through her rowing club.
