McBains is pleased to announce its appointment to Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Estate Management Services 2 framework (RM6343) for Lot 8a (PFI Technical and Strategic Advice Services) and Lot 8b (PFI Surveying Services).
The new, four-year framework replaces CCS’ RM6198 Estate Management Services framework and includes four new PFI-related lots. The introduction of these specialist lots recognises the importance of robust technical, strategic and surveying expertise in the management of long-term PFI estates and in the efficient preparation of PFI assets nearing expiry to ensure effective and compliant handback.
Under Lot 8a, McBains will provide strategic, technical, commercial, project, programme, operational and estates management advice and support, during the operation, expiry and future service delivery of PFI estates.
Through Lot 8b, McBains will deliver asset condition surveys, studies and strategic advice to support with the operation, expiry and future service delivery of PFI estates, providing technical due diligence where required.
Asela Premachandra, Head of Asset Management and PPP at McBains, commented: “We’re delighted to have been named on Lots 8a and 8b of the new Estate Management Services 2 framework. This award reflects the expertise and commitment of our team, and demonstrates our ability to provide robust, practical advice that supports public sector clients in managing risk, safeguarding assets and achieving value for money throughout the lifecycle of their PFI estates”.
RM6343 Estate Management Services 2 is a UK government framework agreement established by CCS to provide comprehensive property and estate management services for central government and the wider public sector. It provides a compliant and efficient route to access trusted specialist suppliers. Anthony Coumidis, CCS Framework Director at McBains said: “Our in-house team of PFI and PPP experts has supported both public authorities and private-sector consortia in the UK, Europe and Latin America across the full PFI/PPP lifecycle; from business case development and procurement through to construction and operational phases. Committed to delivering projects that balance public value, risk transfer and commercial viability, we have PFI/PPP experience across the healthcare, education, blue light, office, energy, transport and civic infrastructure sectors”.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
