Daniel Shadrick and Mike Garside Honored at RICS 'Welcome to the Profession' Ceremony in London
We’re always especially proud to see our employees achieve their goals and industry recognition for their efforts, and were delighted that Dan Shadrick and Mike Garside got the opportunity to attend the official ‘Welcome to the Profession Ceremony’ at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor’s (RICS’) London headquarters in Westminster last month.
The event enables newly qualified surveyors to celebrate their achievement alongside their peers and to be presented with their graduation certificates, marking the official end of their APC journey.
The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) is a challenging assessment, with the highest levels of commitment and professional competence required. Member status conveys a level of globally-recognised ethical and professional proficiency that provides clients and colleagues alike with confidence in an individual's ability.
Mike commented: “The event was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on my journey so far and to acknowledge all the hard work and dedication that made it possible. I’d like to thank everyone that has helped me professionally in achieving my APC. It wasn’t an easy journey, but I could not have achieved this without the support of my colleagues and mentors at McBains. It was a truly collaborative effort and I am grateful for their support”.
Clive Docwra, Managing Director at McBains, added: “Dan and Mike’s APC achievement is testament to their hard work and also to the varied project experience that our candidates are able to partake in here at McBains. They’ve been a great support to each other, as have so many of their colleagues around them, which directly reflects the collaborative and supportive approach that we encourage in all our staff”.
