Clive Docwra

Managing Director

In his role as Managing Director, Clive Docwra, is responsible for the continuous development and growth of the business, together with overseeing a programme of continuous improvement.

Graduating in Quantity Surveying from the University of Westminster, he later became a member of the Association of Project Management and a Chartered Member of the RICS. Clive spent ten years at a top tier construction consultancy practice, ultimately responsible for an office delivering surveying and technical advisory services to funders of private developments and public private partnerships. He then spent six years at two privately owned property development companies, in the capacity of Project Director.

Clive was drawn to McBains having witnessed the interdisciplinary culture of the firm in action on a prospective site purchase. He was so taken with the level of collaboration between both internal teams and clients that he joined the business as Director of Project Development in 2009, before taking over the reins as Managing Director in 2018.
