Hotel and residential development project on the Greenwich Peninsula.
Adjacent to the O2 complex, the scheme comprises a luxury hotel building and a serviced apartment building.
The new, 18-storey ‘InterContinental London - The O2’ features 453 bedrooms, 4,800 square metres of conference space, a luxury spa and five food and beverage outlets, including a top floor Sky Bar.
The hotel’s conferencing facilities comprise 20 meeting rooms and a 3,000 square metre ballroom – one of Europe’s largest pillar-free ballroom in a luxury hotel, accommodating up to 3,000 guests at full capacity.
The 23-storey Arora Tower provides 100 serviced apartments, including studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and three duplex penthouses.
Both the hotel and serviced apartments are managed by the Arora Group, a successful private company which leverages synergies across its specialist property, construction and hotel divisions to its strategic advantage. Grove Developments, Arora Group’s construction division managed the construction of the project.
The development scheme is a key component of the wider redevelopment of the Greenwich Peninsula; set to provide 190 acres of new business, leisure and living space including over 10,000 new homes.
The InterContinental London - The O2 hotel opened for business at the start of 2016, with an official opening by Sir Cliff Richard OBE in July 2016.
