Team McBains placed 3rd out of 40 teams in the 23rd Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge, supporting CRASH - the construction industry's charity
Congratulations to Team McBains for your outstanding performance in the 23rd Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge, supporting CRASH - the construction industry's charity that helps homeless and hospice organisations with their construction projects.
The team eased through the early stages of the event - with the second fastest time in the heats and the fastest semi-final time - to reach the grand final, where they finished third in an incredibly closely-fought race that meant only 2 seconds separated the eventual winners and Team McBains in third place.
We'd like to give a big shout-out and thank you to our grand finalists who participated in the event. Your energy, enthusiasm and dedication were truly remarkable.
Special thanks to Will Hammond, Warwick Stockdale, Daniel Shadrick, Jack Rhodes, Rosie O'Brien, James Staerck, Jonte Gould, Jennifer Mai, Carlos Gonzalez and Oliver Bass for making the event even more memorable.
The event took place on Thursday 18th May 2023 at the West Reservoir Water Sports Centre in Hackney, with 40 teams competing over the 150m race course.
