- Richard Riley – promoted to Associate Director within the Manchester office
- David Plumstead - promoted to Principal Engineer within the London Civil & Structural Engineering team
All of the above individuals possess the qualities expected of a senior McBains employee; being thoroughly professional, trustworthy, respectful and always willing to support their colleagues and the wider business. Their promotions demonstrate how committed we are to supporting staff to develop their careers within the business. Their new roles will enable McBains to continue to grow and it is this growth that will drive and generate further opportunities for others within the business.
STEVE BROOKER has been promoted to Project Director within the London Project Development team. Appointed as our healthcare sector PM lead in 2018 and having repeatedly proven his ability to drive successful project outcomes, Steve was nominated in 2020 to run a major healthcare redevelopment scheme and has since received many accolades from the client, contractor and internal teams for his leadership and ability to unite and motivate stakeholders to work together with mutual trust and collaboration. He is a huge asset to the business; being commercially aware, results-driven and a great team-player.
RICHARD RILEY has been promoted to Associate Director within the Manchester office. Since joining the business in September 2020, Richard has proven to be an integral member of both the Manchester team and wider working groups; working on a diverse range of projects. He is a very technically- and commercially-able surveyor, who is well respected by his clients and peers alike; fostering strong collaboration and co-ordination within each project team to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
DAVID PLUMSTEAD has been promoted to Principal Engineer within the London Civil & Structural Engineering team. David joined McBains in November 2020 and has since then become an integral part of the team. Over the last year, David has successfully led the structural input on the 2 major projects currently on site, alongside delivery of a number of other projects at different stages. David is ICE chartered and has successfully completed the training to become a mentor for the ICE Mentor Supported Training so he can support other engineers in their chartership journey. David's promotion recognises not only his technical expertise but his dedication to both his team and the wider business.
