Cyber Essentials is a government-endorsed cyber security standard and covers five key technical controls comprising boundary firewalls and internet gateway, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management.
IT Director, Tommy Hussey commented: “The renewal of our accreditation under the rigorous Cyber Essentials Plus certification scheme reflects our continued commitment to data safeguarding and cyber security. Being accredited demonstrates that McBains takes cyber security seriously and provides assurance that essential security controls are in place to protect data and reduce cyber risks”.
The certification covers all company servers, PCs, laptops and company mobile devices.
Cyber Essentials Plus certification requires verification of our processes and systems by an independent, authorised third party.
