Over the past month, Enterprise-Rent-A-Car (ERAC) has launched three new branches across the South-East with the support of McBains.
ERAC’s new Chelmsford site opened its doors on May 25, 2021; with the relocation of Slough West completing on May 27, 2021, and a new facility opening in Reading on June 22, 2021.
McBains provided project and cost management services to Enterprise Rent-A-Car on all three projects.
The new facilities are all located on prominent sites and feature car parking, vehicle wash bays and a customised, prefabricated modular building.
Joss Smallman, Facilities and Construction Specialist at Enterprise Holdings, commented: “Enterprise has always been hungry to open as many sites as possible, so that we can be closer to our customers, partners and communities. The three sites that McBains has helped us with are all strategically important to us; helping us to move from locations that restricted our operations, to big, visible sites with the opportunity to grow. Commercial property has become more complicated over the years and the expert advice and guidance received from McBains has helped get these sites open. We have more sites coming and I am sure, with McBains partnering with us, we will continue the success we’ve seen in recent months.”
McBains has been working with Enterprise Rent-A-Car since 2013 when we were appointed to assist in the identification and assessment of suitable premises for its head office function and to project manage the construction / refurbishment of 6 car rental sites. Since then, we have gone on to support the car rental giant with a total of 14 branches; providing property support in the form of contractor management, planning assistance and cost scheduling and reporting.
As part of Enterprise Holdings, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is one of the largest transportation solutions providers in the world; employing more than 100,000 people and operating more than 10,000 branches worldwide, with a fleet of 2 million vehicles.
