McBains is proud to have assisted The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) with its relocation from Central London to Bedford, providing an inter-disciplinary service to the fit-out of its new premises, comprising building surveying, architecture, building services engineering and cost management services.
MaPS moved into its new headquarters within Bedford Borough Hall on February 1st, 2024, with an opening ceremony officiated by Pensions Minister, Paul Maynard. Also in attendance were Tom Wooton, Mayor of Bedford Borough, and MaPS’ new CEO Oliver Morley.
The relocation is part of the Government’s Places for Growth programme, which is working to create more regional civil service opportunities outside of London and the South East and sees MaPS become Bedford’s second largest employer.
Andrew Hogg, McBains Director, commented: “We’re delighted to have supported MaPS with their relocation; enabling them to continue to provide a vital service to people across the country whilst bringing new employment opportunities to Bedford and the surrounding areas”.
The new headquarters provide many features including open plan office space, meeting rooms, a well-being room, project space, a quiet area, a breakout area and a connect and collaborate zone.
