Construction continues apace at the Greatfields 2B Secondary School project within the Gascoigne Estate in Barking, East London.
McBains has been appointed by Mid Group Limited to provide architectural and principal designer services to this London Borough of Barking & Dagenham scheme.
The new, 10FE secondary school, together with a 3FE primary school, forms part of a three-phase school project set to accommodate a total of 2,400 students from primary to sixth form age.
Greatfields School is a major, central component of the new Weavers Quarter – a key regeneration zone within the Gascoigne Estate - which is set to deliver some 1,800 new homes and a social infrastructure programme.
