Advancing the Brighton 3Ts Stage 2 Sussex Cancer Centre

Last week, members of the McBains team along with the New Hospital Programme (NHP) and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (UHSussex) teams visited the Laing O'Rourke Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC) in Worksop - Europe’s largest and most advanced pre-assembly manufacturing facility. 

The teams were there to review the Performance Mock up (PMU) for Brighton 3Ts Stage 2, the development that will become the new Sussex Cancer Centre.

The PMU represents a key milestone in validating design, quality, and construction methodology before full production of the precast elements begins next month. This visit marks an exciting step forward as we continue to collaborate closely with project partners to deliver a modern, efficient, and high-quality facility.
