Thales

Inside of a colourful office

McBains was originally appointed to cost manage the fit out of Thales' new headquarters building in Reading. Following on from this appointment, McBains was asked to provide an inter-disciplinary service to the refurbishment and fit out of the 4th and 5th floors of Quadrant House, close to St Katharine’s Dock in East London.

At the Reading site, Thales sought to undertake a fit out of “shell and core” within an existing building on the 195-acres Green Park Business Park in Reading. The building required CAT A and B fit out to specific client requirements, including some replacement of existing hardware that has become obsolete.

The four storey office building features a full-height glass-fronted atrium and communal terrace area and offers over 110,000 square feet of floor space. The final accommodation provides a mix of laboratories, light industrial accommodation and office space.

Following on from this appointment, McBains was asked by Thales to provide an inter-disciplinary service to the refurbishment and fit out of the 4th and 5th floors of Quadrant House, close to St Katharine’s Dock in East London. Quadrant House is home to Thales’ transportation division and is part of the 4.2 acre Thomas More Square Estate.
