Key Responsibilities
It is anticipated but not essential, that the candidate will have entry level building surveying skills in most areas, taking an independent responsibility specialising as a Party Wall Surveyor conversant in discharging duties in accordance with The Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
McBains are seeking a dynamic individual, with good experience acting as a Building Owners Surveyor, Adjoining Owners Surveyor and Agreed Surveyor. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate competence in this field with a keen interest in finding and securing new opportunities for the team. It will be important for the candidate to be involved in bidding and fee management with a desire to follow trends in supplying this service at the most competitive level.
You will be efficient in managing multiple schemes from inception to completion and should be capable of managing your own time effectively across concurrent engagements. As this is an exciting opportunity available to grow the specialist sub-division, it will be important that you hold good interpersonal and networking skills, with a clear intention to contribute towards this objective. As such, we are looking for the individual to ideally hold a membership with The Pyramus and Thisbe Society and/or The Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, or instead be looking to join.
There is a strong work from home arrangement and flexibility toward a general requirement to attend the office 1 – 2 times a week which will remain in place long term.
